Our Solution:
The problem, by its description, seemed like a simple issue with the travel limit settings of the garage door opener. However, upon examination, we discovered that wasn’t the case. Tested the belt and found a couple of disjointed links which created a loose and slack suspension. This was why the garage door opener couldn’t open the door all the way. Replaced the opener chain and adjusted the new one to a taught position so the door could lift without issues.
